Here's another quilt that has finally made it to the layout selection phase. I loved hearing everyone else's thoughts on the last quilt so I thought I would do it again. There are 40 squares total so layouts 3 & 4 leave me with 4 extra squares (which would probably be used to make a pillow)
Option #1
Option #2
Option #3
Option#4

I like them all! I mostly like 4 the best, but I really like 2 as well. I can see the difference between 3 & 4 but I can't tell why I like 4 better - - the layouts seem to be the same. What am I not getting?
#3 I think of as rows of V where every other row is offset so the V's aren't right under each other. #4 the V's are on top of each other and every other row is upside down so the points of the V's come together- to me it looks like a flower or a sunburst
Yup - I see it! I love 4 - it hollared at me immediately! I hope you go with 4! I will be finished with Brian's tomorrow - will post about it on http://finallyfinished.blogspot.com/
I just came across your blog and bookmarked it. :) I like option 2 the best, it reminds me of waves...or salmon swimming upstream...that sounds weird doesn't it? Glad I found your blog, I live in Palmer...nice to see what other Alaskans are up to.
tessahjake- that is so funny because I saw fish when I looked at too- maybe I should make another in that layout in fish colors!
Salmon! I see them now! I *love* that! Thanks for saying so Tessah, I looked at the layout with a whole new appreciation for it :)
I invite you to follow the links on the "Alaskan Quilters Blog Ring" on Sarah's blog to see what other Alaskan quilters are up to.
I like the flow of the 2nd one best, but the 4th speaks to me as well. Maybe you should try to name each option, then do the one whose name you like best!
I like the fourth as well .. the colours are gorgeous!
call me strange, but I like 1 and 3
great pattern and the colors are wonderful
Awesome combinations of options! 8-)
